"Cuaderno Desbordado" is an interactive exhibition by CENTRO and artist Alejandro Magallanes, in collaboration with Meta (formerly Facebook). It fuses art and technology, manifesting in an exceptional physical exhibition enriched by Augmented Reality (AR) applications. My contribution to this endeavor was the design and development of promotional Instagram filters using Spark AR, Blender, and Cinema 4D. This incorporation of technology encouraged an active audience engagement, transforming viewers into participants. The success of these AR applications underscored the potential of immersive technology in enhancing the interaction between art and its audience.
The project aimed to showcase Magallanes' art in a digital space, capturing the essence of his unique style while engaging audiences through immersive experiences. The team I was part of was responsible for developing Instagram filters that complemented the exhibition and enhanced viewer/user engagement.

The inspiration for the project came from Magallanes' distinctive artistic drawing style, combining elements of traditional art forms with contemporary techniques. The objective was to transform these images into interactive and immersive experiences using augmented reality.
Research was carried out to better understand the technical aspects of creating Instagram filters using Spark AR and 3D tools while studying Magallanes' artistic influences and themes to ensure an authentic representation of his work.
The project began with the development of concepts, focusing on identifying key elements of Magallanes' art to be translated into augmented reality. 3D models were then created using Blender and Cinema 4D, which were then imported into Spark AR. The team worked closely with the artist to ensure an accurate representation, refining the filters through iterations and testing to optimize the user experience.
The end result was a series of captivating Instagram filters that allowed users to explore and interact with Magallanes' art in a new and engaging way, enhancing the overall exhibition experience and expanding its reach to a broader audience. This project made me understand the power of collaboration and the importance of integrating art and technology to create memorable experiences. The team's ability to overcome technical challenges and adapt to new media was a valuable learning experience, paving the way for future projects that challenge the boundaries of creative expression.
